Overview
This guide walks you through installing and activating the hTech OS Backup addon module in WHMCS.
Prerequisites
- WHMCS admin access
- Ability to upload files to your WHMCS server (FTP/SSH/File Manager)
- PHP extensions commonly required: cURL, OpenSSL, JSON
Step 1: Upload Module Files
- Extract the module zip on your computer.
- Upload the folder
htech_os_backupto:/modules/addons/htech_os_backup/
Step 2: Activate in WHMCS
- Go to Configuration > System Settings > Addon Modules
- Find hTech OS Backup and click Activate
- Assign admin role access as desired
Step 3: Open the Module
After activation, open the module from the WHMCS Admin menu and configure storage settings.
Recommended First Test
- Configure a storage provider
- Run a test connection
- Create a manual backup
- Verify remote file exists (if off-site)
