Overview

This guide walks you through installing and activating the hTech OS Backup addon module in WHMCS.

Prerequisites

  • WHMCS admin access
  • Ability to upload files to your WHMCS server (FTP/SSH/File Manager)
  • PHP extensions commonly required: cURL, OpenSSL, JSON

Step 1: Upload Module Files

  1. Extract the module zip on your computer.
  2. Upload the folder htech_os_backup to:
    /modules/addons/htech_os_backup/

Step 2: Activate in WHMCS

  1. Go to Configuration > System Settings > Addon Modules
  2. Find hTech OS Backup and click Activate
  3. Assign admin role access as desired

Step 3: Open the Module

After activation, open the module from the WHMCS Admin menu and configure storage settings.

Recommended First Test

  1. Configure a storage provider
  2. Run a test connection
  3. Create a manual backup
  4. Verify remote file exists (if off-site)
