In-App Updates: How Updates Work (Admin) Print

Overview

If your version includes in-app updates, you can check for updates, download packages, apply updates, and review logs.

Before You Update

  • Create a manual backup first
  • Ensure the module update storage directory is writable
  • Confirm your server can reach the update/manifest endpoint

Recommended Update Process

  1. Open the module in WHMCS Admin
  2. Go to In-App Updates
  3. Click Check for Updates
  4. If available, click Update Now
  5. Refresh the admin page and confirm module version

If an Update Fails

  • Review update logs in the module
  • Check WHMCS Activity Log for details
  • Confirm permissions and free disk space
