Why Testing Matters

A backup that cannot restore is not a real backup. Testing ensures your backups are usable.

Monthly Test Checklist

  1. Create a fresh backup
  2. Verify it exists in the provider
  3. Download it
  4. Test extraction locally
  5. Restore on staging (recommended)

Tip

Keep a record of the date your last restore test succeeded.
