The catch is that “self-hosted” quietly means “self-maintained”: the moment n8n is running your real business processes, keeping it up becomes a job. That job is what we take on.

- Upgrades that break workflows. n8n ships fast, and node changes between versions can silently break a live automation. We test upgrades and keep a rollback point, so an update never takes your workflows down with it.
- Backups of workflows and credentials. Your encrypted credentials and the N8N_ENCRYPTION_KEY are as critical as the workflows themselves — lose the key and every stored credential is dead weight. We back up all three, off-box, on a schedule.
- Webhooks that must stay reachable. Automations depend on inbound webhooks resolving over clean TLS at a stable URL. We set up the domain, certificate and reverse proxy so external services can always reach yours.
- Scaling past the single process. Heavy workloads need queue mode with Redis and worker processes. We size and configure that when you need it — before a backlog silently drops executions.

We back up your workflows, the encrypted credentials store and the encryption key off-box on a schedule, so a bad upgrade or a lost server never means rebuilding your automations from memory.
What happens when a new n8n version comes out?
We test the upgrade and keep a rollback point before applying it, so a breaking node change doesn’t take a live automation down. You’re not the one discovering the regression in production.
Can it handle heavy or scheduled workloads?
