How to Install and Configure HTech PM for Use in WHMCS

This guide explains how to install, activate, and configure the HTech PM (Project Management) addon module in WHMCS. It is intended for WHMCS administrators.


Requirements

  • WHMCS 8.x or later
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB equivalent
  • Administrator access to WHMCS
  • Ability to upload files to the WHMCS server

Step 1: Upload the Module Files

Upload the module folder to your WHMCS installation:

/modules/addons/htech_pm/

Confirm the main module file exists:

/modules/addons/htech_pm/htech_pm.php

The folder name and the main PHP file name must match (htech_pm) or WHMCS will not detect the module.


Step 2: Activate the Module

In WHMCS Admin, go to:

Configuration \u2192 System Settings \u2192 Addon Modules

Find HTech PM and click Activate.


Step 3: Configure Admin Access

On the Addon Modules page, click Configure next to HTech PM and assign access to the appropriate admin role groups. Save changes.


Step 4: Clear WHMCS Cache

After installation or updates, clear template caches:

Utilities \u2192 System \u2192 System Cleanup
  • Empty Template Cache
  • Empty Admin Template Cache

Step 5: Verify Installation

  • HTech PM appears under Addons
  • Projects list loads without errors
  • You can create a test project
