What it is
hTech IDrive e2 Object Storage turns one reseller account at the storage vendor into a white-label product on your own WHMCS installation. Your customer orders storage as its own product, chooses a region on the order form, and gets an S3-compatible endpoint on your own domain — not the vendor's.
When an order provisions, the customer gets a storage sub-account of their own, their own access keys (created, listed and revoked from your client area), buckets and objects they manage through a built-in object browser, and usage that is written back into WHMCS so it shows on the service like any other metered product.
The client area is not a convenience layered on top of this product — it is the product. The storage vendor has no single sign-on for your customers to be handed off to, so if your billing system cannot show them their buckets, keys and usage, nothing can.
What it does not do
- It does not sell storage as an extra attached to a service the customer already has. Storage is a standalone product in this version. An order shaped as a product addon is refused by name, before anything is created at the storage vendor. This is a limit of the billing platform's own schema, not a missing feature: a product addon has nowhere to carry a region or a quota, and a missing quota would silently mean "unlimited" at the vendor. A future version may reopen this path; this one does not.
- It does not upgrade a customer automatically when they go over their quota. The overage policy your install can choose from offers exactly two working responses — warn, and ask the vendor to soft-block further writes. An automatic-upgrade response is not offered, because your Storage Tiers are names and labels with no quota figure attached, so there is nothing for it to upgrade a customer to.
- It does not update itself, ever, on any schedule. A new version is installed only when a signed-in administrator opens this module's Update page and confirms. There is no background job and no setting that changes that.
What your reseller relationship is
Your customers are yours and your data is yours. This module operates against your own account at the storage vendor, under your own reseller credential, which WHMCS holds encrypted. Your relationship with the storage vendor — their terms, pricing and availability — is between you and them.
